Connor Massey – TPI Certified Golf Coach

My passion for golf started early, thanks to my grandpa, who first introduced me to the game and took me to the local course nearly every weekend. I stepped away from it for a while, but found my way back during college — and this time, the goal was simple: get better.

That goal quickly turned into an obsession with understanding why the golf swing works. I spent countless hours studying elite players, breaking the swing down to its core mechanics and cause-and-effect relationships — and eventually sought out mentorship from some of the best in the game to go deeper than I could on my own.

Over the past five years, I've been mentored and coached by Alex Clapp, the team at Blackburn Golf Academy, and TPI founders Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips.

That combination of self-driven study and direct mentorship shaped how I coach today. I've completed over 1,000 in-person lessons across the Southeast, and delivered hundreds more online to golfers all over the world — working with everyone from beginners just finding their footing to competitive players chasing real results, including the high school team I currently head coach.

MY PHILOSOPHY

My coaching comes down to one idea: clarity creates progress. I don't believe in vague swing thoughts or generic tips — I show golfers exactly how specific movements produce specific results, so every change is something you can actually feel and repeat.

As a TPI Certified coach, I also look at the body, not just the swing. Your mobility and stability shape what's actually possible for you, so I match sound mechanics to the most efficient motion for your body — not a textbook position. It's root-cause coaching, built around you specifically.

Whether we're working together in person or online, my mission is simple: help you understand your swing, improve efficiently, and genuinely enjoy the process of getting better.
